China: Welcoming Foreigners into the Refining Sector

BP Group Vice President and BP China President Gary Dirks said the company is seeking a partner to enter China's oil refining sector, Shanghai Daily reported Jan. 26. The United Kingdom will be the sixth country to enter China's oil refining sector. With a shortfall of approximately 160,000 barrels a day in gasoline predicted for 2010, opportunities for foreign refiners will continue to increase.
