China's Policies and the Year Ahead

China's National People's Congress (NPC) annual plenary session concluded on March 14, and China now turns to trying to carry out the policies it has set for itself over the course of the year. Yet in doing so Beijing is still keenly aware of the potential for social instability as well as dangers in the global economy and the worsening U.S. relationship.
