Germany: Forming a Coalition Government

Germany's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the Free Democratic Party (FDP) formally approved Oct. 26 to form a coalition government. The coalition will not fundamentally change Germany, but the parties will struggle to agree on the best course of action to tackle the country's woeful economic crisis.
